  • Recruitment – Monday 3 September,   5.30pm – 7.30pm

This workshop will explore the stages of the recruitment and selection process and current best practice in relation to each stage including what is needed to run an effective recruitment interview. You will gain a basic understanding into what documentation and records should be created and maintained as well as ensuring a fair and equitable process is undertaken.

  • Performance Management and Feedback – Monday 15 October, 5.30pm – 7.30pm

Performance management encompasses everything from the performance of individuals and departments to the whole organisation. Participants will discover how linking personal goals to those held by the organisation increases motivation and engagement, as well as productivity and profitability.

The workshop includes and awareness of best practice regarding the process of performance appraisals and feedback process.

  • Business Writing – Friday 15 February, 10am – 12.30pm

In this workshop we explain the different types of reports you may be required to use in business, and how to help develop a sensible report writing strategy that can be used.  You will be able to identify the ways in which data can be obtained then organised when structuring your reports or documents.

  • Presentation skills –  Wednesday 6 March, 5.30pm – 7.30pm

In this workshop we will identify the importance of identifying and designing a presentation specifically around your audience needs.  We then examine the common problems associated with giving presentations and identify ways of overcoming these while sharing tips for making presentations successful.

  • Assertiveness – Wednesday 3 April, 5.30pm – 7.30pm

This workshop will help participants to build their self-confidence and become more self-assured without being aggressive. We explore a variety of situations experienced during the working day and consider how best to handle each one assertively.

  • Difficult People and Discussions – Monday 6 May, 5.30pm – 7.30pm

In this workshop we will explore the emotional reactions that cause us to find some people difficult – and options for dealing with them.  Participants will test their communication skills and ability to get their point across effectively whilst building an understanding of others’ feelings.
